FARE ZONES
Each route/ origin point is associated with a fare zone. Fare zones are listed on PDF schedules and on the schedule. The fare zone price chart is available under the PDF schedules link.
TICKET POLICY
Tickets are valid for the following time periods from the date of purchase: One-Way, Senior/Half Fare, and 10-Trip tickets are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. 40-Trip tickets (sold only in the SilverPass app) are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. Monthly tickets are valid from the first day of the month to the last day of the month for the month purchased (sold in the SilverPass app). All sales are final, there are no refunds or exchanges.
ACTIVATING TICKETS IN SILVERPASS APP
Once activated, single-use SilverPass tickets will expire after 30 minutes. Ticket activation cannot be reversed. Once a ticket activation expires the ticket cannot be used for travel. Please activate your ticket just prior to boarding the bus in order to avoid activating prematurely.
CASH TICKET PURCHASES
We do not sell tickets on buses. Passengers can pay cash fare to the driver with exact fare only. Unfortunately, our drivers do not carry change. Passengers departing from the Port Authority Bus Terminal must have a vaild ticket as cash will not be accepted.
HOLIDAY SERVICE SCHEDULE
Academy will not operate service in observance of the following major holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. On days before or after these major holidays, there may be service adjustments to normal schedules. There will be modified schedules operated with no service to Wall Street (except Route 9) on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, Good Friday, Columbus Day and Veterans Day. Please check for updates posted in terminals, buses, our website, social media and the SilverPass App.
SENIOR CITIZENS
Passengers 62 years of age or older ride at the senior citizen reduced fare at all times. Customers purchasing senior citizen tickets at ticket windows are not required to provide any proof of age. When a passenger presents a senior citizen ticket or pays a senior citizen fare, bus operators should make a judgment as to whether the passenger is entitles to senior citizen fares without proof of age. If the bus operator is unsure of the passenger’s eligibility, ID should be requested.
CHILDREN'S FARES
When accompanied by an adult, children under 5 years of age not occupying a seat to the exclusion of other passengers may ride free. Children under 5 years of age occupying a seat to the exclusion of other passengers pay the regular adult fare.

For the comfort of all passengers, these rules must be observed while riding the bus: No smoking, no eating or drinking, no littering, no radios without headphones, no personal items on the seat next to you. Please limit cell phone usage to urgent matters only.
