centers stretching from Boston to Miami.
We operate commuter buses from New Jersey to
Manhattan and from Virginia and Maryland to Washington DC plus service to downtown
Baltimore in Maryland.

HISTORY
Discover Our History
Frank A. Tedesco engaged his knowledge, passion and energy to create Academy Bus from a
single bus, purchased by his father Pasquale in the early 1930’s. In 1968, with the head
quarters in Bayonne, NJ, he officially incorporated the company and grew it into a
viable and competitive transportation business.
Today, Francis and Mark Tedesco manage the group of Academy companies. With more than
1,000 top-of-the-line motor coaches, 20 locations along the eastern seaboard, and more
than 2,000 employees, Academy is the largest privately owned motorcoach operator in North
America.
