What a ride! For the past six weeks, Academy employees and drivers have been at the center of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, helping deliver transportation for the most prestigious and closely watched sporting events on the planet.

Our role in the tournament didn't happen overnight. It was the result of years of planning, relationship building, and meetings with transportation management companies and host city committees, and operating numerous stadium tours for the FIFA World Cup USA office. Throughout the process, we continually emphasized the advantages of Academy's East Coast footprint, diverse fleet, operational expertise, and extensive experience supporting world-class events.

Those efforts resulted in organizations including Accord Pitch USA, Fugazy Transportation, Transportation Management Services, and Hard Rock Stadium entrusting Academy with a wide range of transportation services. Our responsibilities included team transfers between hotels, stadiums, airports, and training facilities, as well as fan shuttle operations, employee gameday transportation, VIP and sponsor movements, officials transportation and FIFA staff transfers.

Academy's operations extended well beyond the five host cities in our service area. In addition to supporting matches and training camps in Boston, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Miami, our drivers also provided transportation at team training camps in Tennessee and West Virginia. Academy's involvement spanned 32 matches, including 24 group stages matches and eight knockout round contests. The tournament concluded with Academy supporting some of the biggest moments, including a semi-final, the third-place match, and the World Cup Final in New York/New Jersey.

While fans around the world celebrated action on the field, our employees were working behind the scenes to ensure every trip was completed safely, efficiently, and professionally. Countless hours of planning, coordinating with clients, dispatching, and maintenance contributed to the tournament's success. We are incredibly proud of every employee who played a role in this historic event and grateful to our transportation partners for the confidence they plaed in Academy.
